The Trail Mix is PB&J Handmade Knives' answer to a do-it-all trail companion — a little more blade than the Bread and Butter, built for hikers, campers, and anyone who wants one knife that handles everything from lunch prep to light bushcraft.

Like every PB&J knife, the Trail Mix starts as a reclaimed circular sawmill blade. Twin knifemakers Phillip and Barry Jones, along with partner Jake Kirks, forge these vintage blades into L6 tool steel knives — a high-nickel carbon steel known for toughness and impact resistance, the kind of steel built to take a beating on the trail and keep its edge.

At 2.5 inches of blade and 6.75 inches overall, the Trail Mix strikes a balance between the pocket-sized Bread and Butter and PB&J's larger camp knives — enough length for food prep, cordage, kindling, and general trail chores, while still riding light and comfortable on a belt or pack strap. It's finished with the same distressed, vintage-style brown canvas Micarta handle PB&J is known for — durable, grippy, and built to age with character.

Handmade in Danville, Virginia, the Trail Mix carries PB&J's signature fit and finish: clean, even grinds, a seamless handle-to-tang fit, and a razor edge straight out of the box. Comes with a leather belt sheath.
