The Canuck is where the Lishen lineage gets serious. If the Little Canuck is the knife you carry every day, the Canuck is the one you reach for when the day demands more — a longer blade, stouter stock, and a presence in the hand that means business without ever feeling heavy.
Rooted in the tradition of the great Canadian belt knife, Christian Lishen's Canuck takes that time-proven silhouette and runs it through the same meticulous hand-finishing process that's made the Bristol, Virginia workshop one of the most respected small-batch operations in American custom knifemaking.
The blade runs 3.75 inches of AEB-L stainless steel — a quarter inch more than the Little Canuck, with a spine thickness of 0.125″ that gives the grind real authority. The saber grind with convex secondary turns that extra mass into cutting power rather than drag, producing a blade that bites through camp tasks, field dressing, and hard use with equal confidence.
AEB-L at this stock thickness is a different animal than you might expect from a stainless knife. Christian's heat treat squeezes every bit of toughness and edge retention the alloy has to offer, resulting in a blade that holds its own in real-world use while staying forgiving to resharpen and naturally resistant to the elements.
